Woes of (a youngster) taking MRT/ bus in Sgp:

1. After a long, exhausting day at school/ccal and you're carrying a heavy shitload of books, sometimes you just fall asleep in your seat (assuming you're fortunate enough to get one in that peak hour crowd). When you wake up, you find ppl giving you that kinda look esp if there's some old person standing near you. HALLO, I'M SORRY I FALL ASLEEP - If you're awake enough to glare at ppl you should've given up your seat right.

2. Some people EXPECT that everyone must give up their seat to them. According to them, it is THEIR RIGHT to be given a seat. You wanna talk about 'rights'? C'mon who's paying more for their train/bus fares? We don't get subsidized concession fares y'know. Of cos, i'm not those kinda ppl who refuse to give up my seat. I do ok. I just hate it when some ppl treat it as 'li suo dang ran' and plomp their butts down w/o saying a word of thanks or showing some kinda gratitude.

3. When you give up your seat, some ppl choose to make it difficult for you. They refuse to accept your offer. It's like okayy... i just gave up my seat for nth and now i've to stand and stare at the empty seat which no one else dares to take b'cos the old man/woman is standing near the seat. Talk about awkwardness.

4. Sometimes I don't know if the woman is pregnant or just fat. If i offer her my seat and she's actually NOT pregnant... i'm not really sure what will happen. Don't wanna know either haha. But if i don't offer her the seat, i'll just spend the whole journey thinking "What IF she is actually pregnant?? :o"

The condition of Singapore's transport system is getting from bad to worse!! Not even talking about the breakdowns. The SQUEEZE is really suffocating. Literally. It's gross and simply weird to have random strangers' bodies pressed so hard against you. Worse still when it's the end of the day and everyone is emitting some kind of odour. Sometimes there isn't even enough space for you to stretch your hand to hold the common pole/ handle bars. So you have to find your balance while avoiding falling on people when the train/ bus brakes.

Alternative transport? You must be kidding. Taxi fares are *#$*@ expensive. All that surcharge. Private cars? COE costs more than the car itself. And there's maintenance + insurance + ERP + petrol + parking fees. And of course, CONGESTION.

Actually the problem is not with the transport system per se. Increasing frequencies of the trains/buses have evidently not worked. Our shopping malls/ food centres are really crowded too. Root of problem: Over population. And they say we have low fertility rate? So where does that growth in population come from? Hmm.

Itchyyyy. What a way to start the new year haha oh wellsssss. Anyway, Happy New Year to one and all! :)

Hmm btw am i the only one who finds issue with the title "Best of Crimewatch" on Mediacorp Channel 5? Been seeing the snippets of channel 5 programmes for the upcoming week and one of which is "Best of Crimewatch". What do they mean by 'best'? The most gory? The most horrific? The most well-planned murder or homicide?

I think the title "Best of XXX" would be more suitable for other kinds of programmes? Like those travelling/ food programmes. Or those singing/ dancing/ photography competition programmes. Or perhaps even programmes like The Noose. "Best" would indicate a grand finale, a compilation of all the better works or pieces (depending on what show you're talking about).

But "Best of Crimewatch" - unless they are referring to the most commendable work of the police force, I don't see how a crime case can qualify to be better than another. It's like screening a programme about emergency cases in the hospital and then ending off the series with "Best of A&E" or something to that effect. So what would qualify to be the "best"? A case of heart attack? Maybe a case of heart attack PLUS 1st degree burns?

I think you get my idea.

My first year in NJ

And today, I stepped out of NJ for the last time (officially as a student).

2 years have gone by pretty fast (I wouldn't say 'very', thinking of the many times the days seemed to go by so slowly). No one told me it was going to be this tough.

Summing up the life of a J1 (okay, my life).

Orientation came and left. Then it was the official start of J1 (or in our case, SH1). I still recall the first few days with my class. I had problems remembering Alvin's name and sec sch. I found it weird to call Bong (Jianwei), 'Bong'. I remember how Evelyn declared she hated her name being pronounced as "Averlyn". Wen Qi was like our class's tour guide during the first week. Pranj and I made friends with Melvin during the first Econs lesson (which happened to be our first lesson of the year if I don't rmb wrongly). And of cos, I was glad to have Pranj with me in the new class. Jos and I met during touch rug trails beforehand so naturally we became friends (and we were the only 2 girls in class with chinese lessons).

The lecture-tutorial system was an eye-opener but we all adapted pretty quickly. We also got used to the discipline system in nj (ie, know who to avoid when walking around in sch). Our class had recess tgt at the end of the canteen every break. Everyone groaned when the morning announcement "All SH1s, please proceed to LT5 for your first PW lecture..." was read. Then we were assigned our pw groupings. Happy or not, live with it - that was something most of us felt hard to accept. But we still did, albeit all that arguing, gossiping, whining, complaining along the way.

PW became the convenient reason for every J1's stressful life (not that it wasn't). Working with people of different backgrounds, wavelengths, perceptions, ideas and way of doing things truly tested our limits. The endless flow of quizzes, class tests, consol tests, exams didn't help (not to mention the demands of CCA/ research attachment etc). For my class, we had a wonderful timetable that released us at 4.30pm FOUR times a week, excluding cca and extra consol lectures. It was a mad rush every single day; even weekends were hectic (crazy rush to meet pw groupmates, catching up with homework, revising for tests, doing cca stuff). We hardly had enough time to take a breather. An occasional public holiday/ half-day was like treasure, or so we thought. We were constantly reminded, "please spend this holidays to revise..." and were thus piled with even more assignments than ever.

But for all the lousy, depressing, stressful moments we went through, it was all these things that made us closer. We shared the same countdown with one another - phys quiz down, chem test down, PI down, 15 minutes before lecture ends, weekends coming etc. For the first time, I appreciated the phrase TGIF. We had many common topics (again, pw, tests, homework). We celebrated when GPP SIX was finally approved. We moaned at our tests results. Then one day, we started laughing at our tests results because we failed so ridiculously many times - it was almost a norm.

Reading my classmates' blogs, I realise we all had one goal - study hard and pass promos (or at least be promoted). And with that came along many depressing rants. Everyone felt everyone else was studying (mugging) harder than they were. Everyone made promises to themselves to put in more effort on their blogs, like a note-to-self kind of thing (haha i should do that too). Basically, we were all insecure in one way or another. And yes, that feeling was shitty (forgive my language). Results came and we were all promoted. Huge relieve ('Huge" is an understatement).

Somehow or another, we survived (or may I say, scraped by) J1. Any uni student/ working adult reading this would probably scoff and think "oh wait till you come to uni/ into the working world"). But that's just how it is. We pass one phase in life, look back and smile at what we have achieved. Then we move on only to realise how little we actually achieved previously.

But J1 has been a significant part of my life, despite taking only 1 year of the many. And I'm glad we survived it as individuals, as a class, as a cohort.

Meeting amanda, kanice and keziah at connexis today made me realise how much i missed 4g1'09! Didn't get to see yishang and peiqi though. Can't wait for class reunion! :D

Went to marina bay sands on tues. Spacious room, relatively new facilities, friendly staff, awesome view of singapore's skyline, VERY COLD in the rooftop pool haha. Very glad we got to swim this time. Much thanks to grand aunt!

a little bit of my life

Weirdly, i dreamed of crescent np last night. Till now, i have mixed feelings about it. Anw, life in jc has taken a toll on me... hardly have time to sit down and reminisce sec sch days.

I think my life has changed greatly in the last 2 years. Since i got into nj, joined an entirely different cca, attend a different service... Everything's taken a change. My character, my priorities, my behaviour, my outlook to life. And i think i much prefer life now. Even though the ugly facts of reality hit me harder, somehow it seems more real.

Yst we had our very last lesson with ms kaur. For all the times she scolded us, shouted at us, flared at us, i think she is one of the few teachers that i picked up so much from. She made me see GP in a different light and it has certainly changed the way i view things, from politics to social woes. Of cos, not to mention, learning to swallow my saliva and take the scoldings in stride ;)

On a side note, i was really excited to receive a call from godma last night. I can't wait to meet her and godpa!! :)

Today's sermon was accompanied by pulsating music in the background haha! Ok they were preparing/ rehearsing for F1/ the concert or sth this morning along cityhall so there was a periodic 'boom. boom. boom' which could be heard in the cathedral.

And they started rehearsing the transformers song by linkin park during holy communion. Epic contrast lol!

Today i walked into sch and the sky just left me awestruck. I love looking at the sky every morning but today's one was exceptional.

There were grey clouds with tinge of whites and streaks of crimson sunlight passing through. Ok it doesn't sound very scenic or anything but really, the view was just beyond words. Now its like a snapshot in my memory. If i ever get dementia one day, i hope i don't lose this snapshot.

Thinking back, i must have looked quite retarded walking across the field with my head tilted like 45degrees upwards. But who cares!! As i walked, there was only one thought in my mind, "Oh God, thank You for making such beautiful skies!"

After phy mcq (why do they always put that as the last paper, seriously?), went out with evelyn to watch Johnny English!! Awesome show for de-stressing hehheh. After that went Manhattan Fish Market at ps for lunch. Moi first time there. Haha they actually smoked/flamed (idk what you call it) the fish on the spot. Like carry a bunsen-burner looking thing and 'burn' your fish. Obviously i don't do a lot of cooking.

THEN we acquired the art of walking. Walk, talk, walk, talk from ps to cathay to pomo to the smelly-macdonalds-place to smu to some mrt then back to ps (mos) hahaha. But it was funnn! :D

Maybe one day i'll get someone to walk with me from jurong to changi and back to jurong just for fun hehehe!

Glad that prelims are over (visited many new places with tt in the past weeks!). No where seems worse than (the thought of) studying in the sch canteen.

Dear Singapore,

Happy birthday (in advance)!!

It has not been easy for this small nation to come thus far. But we have made it. We're growing and prospering. Both in wealth and size. Wealth is good. But size, no no. It's like a tycoon consuming too much food without a balanced diet. We're taking in a population size more than what we can hold, even when the fertility rate has dipped here. Soon we'll have more passengers than what the transport system can take and more residents than what the houses can accommodate, just like how fats in the tummy overflow a person's pants. Not a very nice sight indeed.

But of course, Singapore remains one of the best country in many other aspects (too many to list). I hope the audience will sing the Fun Pack Song during the parade (though i know that won't happen). C'mon, it's something 'Uniquely Singapore' right? Look, no other countries have had such a thing.

Hahaha okk i was just kidding above there. Singapore is a great nation, really. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!! =D

One of the best lepaks ever.

Studied with tsao at fruit paradise after sch today (let's not mention the price and the quality of drinks haha). After that went up for sushi buffet at sakae with jo, natad, kurt, melvyn! (my first time eating a main meal of sushi).

Jap stall in nj canteen won't get my business for at least the whole of next week. Sorry aunty! (anw who ask you always forget and put mayo in my karrage rice bowl. hahaha jkjk).

Orchard Central is our new in-thing hahaha. I hope they don't close down before i finish Alvls!! (It was pretty empty today).

PS: Going back to cityhall in like 9hours. And the day after tmr o: Is there any small corner in raffles city or sth that i can rent? (instead of travelling up and down so many days!) ;P

Prelims are coming (soon)!! Haha sianz. It's so tiring to heave myself out of bed every morning, let alone bring out my books to study. And the urge to stay at home is so strong (what's the use of going to sch when everything is 'up on km').

Every mon, tues, wed, thurs, fri i look forward to the weekends. Every sat and sun i wish the clock stopped moving.

I seriously need to stop eating so much. I think the additional weight is partly the cause of me not having the energy to heave myself out of bed every morning.

Ran on friday but put back so much more calories in just 2 days. Haha my dad too. Sadded.

Ate a HUGE plate of baked spaghetti at ntu yst.
Went to eat mum's belated bday dinner at night. $360 haha wtheck.
Aimed to eat less today but ended up eating a relatively large plate of fettucini with dory fish at OliveVine (a Christian restaurant btw!) with tsao.

My legs need a rest :0 My butt is like glued to the seat now haha. The route:

SAC to shaw towers -
Eat icecream at Tom's Palette. Haha its quite yummy, really. And the good thing about the shop is that they allow u to try whichever flavours (there's a lot) you want to, before buying. Each time they give u a new icecream stick and they don't get pissed.

A whole bunch of youngsters stepped in, made quite some noise, asked to try several flavours and took ages to decide which one to get. I'm talking about ourselves. And not once they were angry, irritated or annoyed. Haha awesome. Wen hsin/ Natad treated us cellies. Hehe :D

Shaw towers to esplanade -
Walked around there, settled down at this open air food place. So much for being endorsed by makansutra. Me and tsao shared black carrot cake (didn't turn out v black) and prata + chicken curry for 4 bucks each. Ben n josh shared oyster egg for 8 bucks and josh even paid $1.80 for a can of pokka green tea. HAHA sadded.

Everyone contributed greatly. Amidst all that stress, panic attacks, last minuteness, I think we all had fun gg thru everything tgt. YAY =D

Day SIX

Day 6, Saturday.

Tiled the floor of LT5 with the green pizzs (as CW would say, "it is the collective efforts of NJ-cians..."). So glad to see the landscape (really pretty!!!), bushes of hearts, tiles up during closing cere. Truly a symbol of everyone's effort and contribution to this event :D

Was Mrs Cheng's usher for closing cere. Again, mr goh was really nice and he asked mr tham to get me a cup of cold water after the event. And offered to help since he knew i had to make closing address at farewell party.

Forgot to mention, main comm (me, dyl, hy, celes, jh, cw, teresa) had lunch w sigma lab TAs (mostly seniors) on thurs. Had an awesome time tgt:D Main comm ppl were super unglam. Ate pizza w our barehands. And on the other side of the table, the TAs wanted to "keep their image" so they used forks and knives hahaha. Ms lim used her hands hahahaha!

Ok back to sat. Rushed back to BS and back to hall to prepare for farewell party. Made informal speech. Sat at table 11 w usual main comm + venezia and daryl (closing cere emcees). Had so so so much fun taking photos, dressing celes up as paper woman, getting high during the supposed 'dance' time. Best time ever. No more duties, no more worries, just a time to let down our hair and partayye. DJ wayne chua made us massage each other and form human train.

Went back to BS Ops room for briefing by mr eli. Stayed up until 5am with main comm (minus dyl) and weixian, jiexiang, eugenah to camwhore, chitchat.

Day FIVE

Day 5, Friday.

Usual morning routine. Oh we ate BS breakfast only on Mon and Tues. After that we kept previous night's supper as breakfast tgt w milk bought from ntuc (so need not wake up so early).

Went for 4hours straight of closing cere tech run while participants went on LJ3 to A*STAR. Was GOH/Mrs Cheng's usher this time. First time experience!! :D

Finished up landscape stuff afterwards and had SO MUCH fun in sigma lab doing lame things. I think the lack of sleep made everyone a bit crazy/ high at random moments of the day lol (but we're usually more awake at night hehe).

Did some stupid stuff like play 'softball' using toilet roll coil (bat) and pingpong ball (softball). Was a joke seeing dylan and cw play darts using the tiles and styrofoam boxes. And D spray painted his one dollar coil black and white. Lol seriously. Wanted to iron a plastic two dollar note but didn't have the chance :/

Did massive cleaning in sigma lab (which became our temporary storeroom after the recycling drives started lol). Used water, ethanol and ethyl acetate to clear the glue stains from the floor. Haha ms lim commented, the first requirement of joining exco: Must be able to do saikang =P

LJ Comm kindly brought back bento sets from picnic party for us to eat :D After that had last min plan to do feedback form for buddies. Had to rush out the template and printing and briefing in like 20mins. Still managed it w D in the end yayy.

Day FOUR

Day 4, Thursday.

Again, went to Atrium to brief slos in the morn while participants set off for LJ2 to citysquaremall.

Brought hongyi to clinic at coro (she tripped over bench in BS previous night and hurt her ankle/heel). Thankfully it wasn't serious.

Came back and continued to help in sigma lab on landscape/briefing while cere ics work on closing cere.

Haha oh yaa dylan offered to send msges to all the buddies the whole week since he got unlimited free. So i think on wed or sth, he msged them some instructions and ended off w "can spread this msg around pls" or sth like that.
Thennn someone replied, "Nope." HAHAHA dylan was like "what the shit?!? I ask them to spread the msg and she said nope. ?!?!"
Damn funny the way he said "nope." with the abrupt end.

Went for cultural night at scape with a few main comm ppl that evening. Was allocated to be ic for Bus 2 (so hard to get everyone to cooperate) but everything was fine in the end! Sat w weixian, siok, jh, celes, qiaopo, eugenah and had a great time!! ((:

Went back for briefing, stayed up to talk with roommate hy + eat delicious donut supper with soya bean milk :D

Day THREE

Day 3, Wednesday.

Haven't mentioned yet, but we have a newsletter published everday. Just in time to be distributed to participants during breakfast How cool is that hahaha. All thanks to the newsletter comm who stayed up every night to work on it.

Wed was considered the 'slackest' day for main comm (me, dylan, hongyi, celest, jiahui). Haha cos the whole day was just poster presentation, keynote session, heritage tour (all of which we were not involved). Just had to coordinate the timing and event with the respective ics and buddies. And do admin work when neccessary).

Other than that, we stayed in sigma lab to make more pizzas (w the help of slos). Again, we had loads of fun! ((: Was laughing at how brainless it is to tear paper/ make 'pizzas' with texture. And btw, the sound of the mashed up paper in glue and NaOH is just appetizing man.

Decided to go ntuc after that to get some stuff. Hahahha omg we're like aunties, seriously. Dylan's the worst of all. So excited to go ntuc (couldn't even wait for hy to go toilet) and star buy = must buy. LOL. He's super auntyyyy. Hahaha Ms lim always apologise to him for not putting more guys into main comm. (Think we've tarnished a considerable amount of his reputation this week hehe!)

Usual night time briefing by dylan and me. Was more experienced by 3rd night haha.

Stayed up w main comm ppl to talk, joke, have fun haha :) (so used to calling eugene nah as eugena now lols)

Day TWO

Day 2, Tuesday.

Went Atrium in the morn w Hongyi to brief SLOs. Really appreciate her help everyday to plan and brief them on their duties =D

Changed to formal attire then went to LT5 to prepare for opening cere. Didn't feel nervous at all (thank God). Felt very calm. Sat next to mr whitby - he was really nice, gave me a pat on the shoulder before i left my seat for the stage! Was not even nervous about the media interview anymore.

Ms Grace Fu was GOH for the cere. PA did their job flawlessly. From pressing the pedestal to the laser and finally the pyrotechnics, everything went smoothly! Yayyy!

Went for media interview afterwards w celestine. Mr chong was there too. Haha what an experience!

Big relief after everything was over :D Was very glad to recieve a msg of encouragement from mr goh!

Went back to sigma lab to make tiles of mashed paper (flooring of lt5 during closing cere) while participants went on LJ1 to newater/senoko/keppel waste to energy plant. Had loads of fun interacting w slos/main comm while making the 'pizzas'.

Discussed w mr eli and ops ppl how to solve the access cards/ keys issues to satisfy more ppl w/o cutting back on their safety.

Can't rmb what our dinner was. Basically our daily meals ranged from buffet at canteen (for participants) to buffet at sanctuary (for teachers) haha.

Day ONE

Officially ended yst evening!! So much to talk aboutttt!! Haha ok i shall start from day1 (or as what mr chan would call it, day 0).

Day1, Monday.

Arrival of most of the intl participants. Kudos to Ops comm which managed them well, albeit the stress.

Buddies brought them to their rooms (had ppl asking us why there was no aircon/ wifi only in dining hall!?) hahaha.

Meanwhile had opening cere full dress rehearsal. Cere ICs celestine and jiahui are AWESOME. Really. Prac-ed my speech a few times.

First time me and dylan prepared for briefing at night. Couldn't decide who to brief who so we tossed coin. I ended up briefing participants while he briefed buddies. Decided to rotate the rest of the days.

Welcome Party at Sanctuary was quite fun i think. Haha dylan managed to rah-rah them during mass dance (hoedown, showdown). And they were cheering really enthusiastically =D Mr Goh was really nice. Kept reminding me to come down to eat (was at sigma lab helping the rest make pizza/ paper marche/ slush/ shit... whatever you want to call it) lol.

Boarding sch security procedures was more messy, led to some fustration/ anger. It's inevitable. Can't satisfy everyone i realised. By 3rd day things were much better, more organized, the intl teachers were also less unhappy. Yay.

Continued to stay in dining hall to prepare next day's briefing w ms kavi/dylan and help cere ics while hongyi planned the briefing for slos next day.

Went back to room (i love it, seriously). Cooling envt, spacious rooms, nice scenery, clean toilets... what more can we ask for? =D

Day 5

I'll miss boarding school... Crappp! :x The facilities are niceeee!! =D It's relatively new, clean, spacious, shiokkkkzxz!

Okayzxz quite free now. Landscape done, left with some random stuff like briefing for tmr. Anw participants are out at marina barrage having picnic now.

Back again!

No matter how much i always say "i'm so tired!!", i haven't exactly reach the max yet.

Thank God all the spas are over.

Practised my speech w Mr Dio today. Haha was kinda nervouzzz at first. It's like oral examination in its re-enactment. Haha nahh just jk. It was actually quite ok. Thankfully he corrected me/ told me how to improve. "GuesT.S." Hahaha! Very useful advice! =)

Went for opening cere tech run afterwards. Oh boy, messy messy messy. Haha so muchhhh things to take note of! All the nitty gritty stuff, from lightings to timing to synchronization... we have much to work on. But! The cere ICs - celest and jiahui are doing a really good job so far. Awesome peeps who do more than what they're expected to do! =)

Just need everyone to cooperate and put in their best for the last lap!

LT was freezing cold today! Kept shivering hahaha (thankfully didn't have to give speech too many times or ppl might think i'm super nervous or sth). Ms Lim was freezing even in her sweater.

The actual thing isn't even here yet but i've learnt so many things already! Not to mention interacting with ppl over the phone several times w/o even knowing how they look like. Haha!

Will be meeting the team on Mon (there goes our college day off-in-lieu) but I guess there's no better time to meet than this.

Will be moving into NJBS next Sunday (it's like camping :O). Gna lug tonnes of clothes with me hehe. Probably won't get to come here anymore until the whole thing is over D;

Ahhh interviews today reminded me of last year when i was the one sitting there, talking to a panel of 11. Time passes soooo fast.

Also makes me wonder what they discussed after I stepped out of the room. Hehe today was definitely an experience for me in a totally new perspective.

Anws, wow 1 year has passed... We come and we go but the teachers stay and see through batches after batches. I wonder how they feel, how their feelings change with each batch. Ok i should keep this until we step down X)

We've gotta put in our best (not that we haven't haha) for the last lap SISC. Don't wanna leave/live with regrets =P

There was one night my parents and I walked out of this "shopping mall" after dinner. We heard some voices (definitely using those portable amplifiers) and they were had a persuasive tone.

So we thought it was a rally and we walked towards where the sound led us...

This month is awesome! 3 consecutive weeks of 1 public hol each week =D

I guess it's very timely since I need these periodical breaks. I walk into sch like a zombie everyday. Plomp my bag down and my head immediately gets attracted to the table.

Had FT on wed @ Nex!

Elections are up and roaring. Online, on the newspapers, TV, in every neighbourhood... We see endless lightning strikes, hammers, men/women in white, blue, red and yellow. I must say it's pretty interesting, seeing the different arguments, viewpoints and comparisons between the candidates. Will try to go for at least 1 rally :)

Suddenly rmb i haven't blogged about last sunday yet.

Brought nenad to eat chinese cuisine last wk. He hopped into the car (and it was really dark) so couldn't see each other properly. When we walked into the mall, he had this super :O face. And the very first thing he said to me was, "Why are you so dark?!":O and then point to cyn "And you're like, so fair?".

HAHA i'll always rmb that.

My grandaunt always joke that i look like a malay/indian (tt's definitely exaggeration lol). Or ppl will assume i'm from a sports cca. I think the older generation thinks its bad for a girl to be dark.So that grandaunt always make fun of my blackness and then try to compensate by saying that "hei you hei de mei" - direct translation: black has its own prettiness. Sometimes i feel like telling her, don't bother =)

Idk whether to cry or to laugh when I see the amount of work ahead of us, the number of students/teachers coming tgt just to make this thing happen, the number of nights we're going to live on coffee, the spread of committees we have, the amount of money we're spending, everything.

But I want to thank God for his grace and everything He has done for me :)

If there's one thing i could wish for, that would be for ALL OF US to put in our very best efforts, work cooperatively, have fun and rock the event with the participants. Ok that was four wishes haha :)

Been a hectic week. Sparks turnout was unexpectedly high this year (200+ ppl); really tested our organizational skills. Gained so much experience from this - dealing with the piling stress before the actual event, handling unexpected situations on the spot, communication skills, patience, endurance... And by God's grace, the preliminary round was considerably a success! Then NAPFA this morning. 2.4 run was quite a miracle imo. I'm contented with the grade. Sth made me quite urghh today. In my mind i was fighting back and forth, knowing what I was doing was wrong, yet not being able to bring myself to do the right thing. Until just now I came across the Bible verse 1 John 4: 7-12. It was a timely reminder of how God's love for each of us is so pure, so unconditional. In the same way, He wants us to love one another. I know any 'sacrifices' i ever make will never be as great as what He did for us, for me. I pray that He'll show me how to love others like how He loved us. TGIF! =)

Sparks sparks and more sparks! Haha goshh wasn't expecting so many teams. Did sth super lame with siok and jiahui in the toilet. I have a date with the toilet aunty on monday!! Ahaha. Meeting jiasheng and siok to buy more materials tmr. Thankfully we're not buying penknives anymore. Cannot imagine walking into a shop and asking for 60 penknives or sth lol.

Still can't get over the fact that we're paying $120 over 2 years for an online portal which we hardly use. That amount can buy me 2 months worth of lunch (rice w 3 dishes or a decent bowl of noodles).

Speeding train

Goshhh it feels like I'm on a train. A very fast one to be exact. And this week of hols made it seem like the train slowed down at this station. And it's gearing up to speed off again after tmr.

If that's really the case I wished the engine kinda spoiled so it can delay at this station a little longer =P But the weird thing is that this train is almost perfect; even when there's political unrest in the middle east and thousands of grieving, starving children in japan, it will still move on irregardless. So i guess there's nth we can do except to hop on back to this train and prepare ourselves for that speed; and watch ahead for the next station coming along (in june =.=)

Why doesn't this train get fined for speeding?

Gosh i went on the sch portal just now (oh which we paid $60 for btw) and was half cursing the math dept for spamming us with MORE homework - like 3 whole documents of binomial, SnS and MI. Then i realised it was for SH1s hahaha oops.

Nuclear reactors in Japan releasing radioactive particles. And just another earthquake magnitude 6.3 occured again last night. Blehh i hope the ppl there will find their peace soon, even in the midst of this chaos and trauma. Kudos to Japan for being so well-prepared and handling things well. And the ppl exhibiting selflessness and love even in such a dire state.

So far we've heard nth from the school, only the chinese article. Apparently he's been missing for 10 days. *Shock*. I must say he was once of the nicest pe teachers in our sch. Presented the poster 6 times to 6 different judges since this morning. Haha it was okay. They generally didn't ask a lot of questions.

It was quite fun to sharing w each other our experiences after each presentation. And poor ppl like Joseph still didn't have any judges at 3pm. Okay now waiting for public exhibition and results tmr!

The things in my mind are driving me crazy.

So today just passed by like another cloud in the sky.

Go school, go home, back to school tomorrow. I feel like a machine in the factory. But even the best machines wear out.

Sth is screaming inside me. Either I let it all out; Or I keep it all within.

Its 9pm. In 3 hours I'll be in bed. Before dawn breaks i'll be resting my head on the canteen table, letting my arms go numb. The thoughts of the tests and everything else seem to weigh down my head even more. Walk to parade square like a zombie, go for math and watch the clock tick. Tell myself the day's gonna end soon. And I would have survived another day.

Nuts.

This is a roundabout; it's not going to stop spinning just for me to get off. Even if i do, I'd be a fool. So i'll just stay on, grab on tight, close my eyes and fight.

STaR quizzing! Was so so so so nervous. My assessors were Ms Tai and Mr Wee. They're v nice. Gave very good advice and were v patient. Ms Tai asked me quite some relevant and useful qns. But throughout the thing I had the tendency to read from my script :/

Was even more nervous when Mr Goh came to see too. Haha it was helpful though. Told me how i should improve on some stuff. And he brought Mr Johll along halfway. Was seriously perspiring thru my uniform hahaha.

But i guess it was good preparation for STaR Symposium today (and will be for NRP Symp and SSEF). Everything went well (: Ms Lim insisted i present my proj to her as well! *nervous again* haha but this time it went so much better. Not so nervous/jittery and i didnt use my script. Hee! =D

Went KAP with snt peeps after that. Had a great time =D

Gna see the same ppl (jorina, siok) in less than 8 hours :o but thats sth i look forward to everyday haha.

Just started preparing for STaR quizzing on mon. No idea what i'm supposed to do actually. On a side note, i'm quite excited to see my printed A1 poster for nrp symposium ((: Yeah, it's coming soon. I mean the end of nrp. Learnt so much from it! Experience gained is invaluable.

SSEF 2011!! Got a panic attack just now cos I got mixed up with my project code so i had to search thru TONS of email to look for the one about the project confirmation. THANK GOD I FOUND IT.

Today was road run and snt internal orientation. Games and icecream-making using liquid N2 was fun! Had to leave for chem spa halfway. Went for lunch with exco after that at the curry place near coro :D The food was good (or was i just hungry?) haha anws, the portion was good too.

Omg next wk is packed to the brim. STaR quizzing on monday, chem consol on tues, PSC scholarship talk + cca on wed, STaR Symp on thurs, SSEF briefing on fri. Then right after that is NRP Symp, SPARKS, SSEF. I PRAY THAT I CAN SURVIVEEEE.

Hehheh i was kinda right. Our PE teacher came like 20+ mins late today. W/o a 'sense of urgency' lol. But of course, there's nth we can say right?

Today was our last time in TD31! Sianz! Really, really =( Running in the rain from TD to TB block beats being cooped up in a room with no aircon nor scenic view.

Tmr's cny's eve so no lessons! But srsly, there's never a holiday w/o homework in Sgp. So for the next few days of festive celebration, i'll alternate btw visiting relatives, hosting and (sadly), slogging thru the pile of assignments.

Actually i wouldn't mind getting a bit lesser angpao money in return for lesser homework. But i guess that's wishful thinking.

It's only 10pm and i'm sleepy D: Aye, not sure if i'm gonna post anything the next few days so just gna wish everyone now Happy Chinese New Year!! =)

Hmm I'm super thankful for the seniors I have in my cca. It's like they understand most of the things I'm going thru now cos they've "been there done that". And the thing is that they're always willing to share their experiences and advice. That's one of the greatest comfort I could ever get (:

Today's sermon was by Uncle Hali so it was super funny as expected. Haha and natad treated us to bbtea again! Bleh now i feel bad. Oh and next wk i won't get to play jumping pandas in bubbles hahaha.

Sold flags at Orchard and Great World City today with pranj and evelyn!

Haha it's fun interacting with small kids and you can actually observe the different upbringing of children. Some parents steer clear away of us, whereas some parents bring their children to us and even tell them they'll have to do this one day. And they want their kids to understand the purpose of doing this so I think its kinda cool.

Actually there are quite a few generous Sgpreans/ expats (maybe also because we were at a richer district lol). Some donated in support of the cause of the project, others donated because they pitied us for being up on a saturday morning raising funds. All the same, I really appreciate those who contributed and made our day =D

When technology fails us. The fingerp system was faulty 2 days ago and our teacher chatised us for not reporting the problem to the office. If this was a problem pertaining to only a small grp of individuals, I would agree. But the entire sch faced the same problem. So can you imagine what it would be like if every, single student went to the office to report the problem? Btw, the ssc can cram like only 10ppl in that small area. We could have joined the long queue to do the fingerp thing or go to the office and report. Either way, we would be late and we would be scolded. And our teacher said we should come earlier to queue to take attendance. Seems like technology does not necessarily reduce hassle.

Yst we got punished during PE for coming late. It wasn't that physically tiring or anything but I don't think we deserved it. Afterall, what about the times the teacher came late (more than 20mins late)? Where was that 'sense of urgency'? Or better still, the times they did not even turn up? Which was actually about half of all the PE lessons we were supposed to have last year.

On a side note, I'm so used to having aircon blowright into my face in TD block classrooms and the nice scenic view from the windows =D Not to forget, the sound of howling wind. So awesome! Migrating to TC block next month will be a very very depressing change. View from TD31 >>>

Headed to ntu after school today. Actually I'm like done with my proj but Prof says I can continue. Triple yay(s). When I heard our proj went to Spain I was =D=D YAY.

Zz I had a pretty much hard and sweaty time finding the students' services centre at ntu. Thankfully I met super helpful ppl along the way (: Just that i was soaking wet when I reached ssc. Literally soaking. Yucks felt so gross and smelly. Haha!

Heh nowadays it's so stressful in Sgp (and many other parts of the world). Maybe we should change the infant mortality rate indicator to youth/adult mortality rate (as a reflection of stress level on health).

I'm gibbering rubbish cos according to my natural clock, 1am is not the time to sleep but I can't do anything productive either.

I want to go back to the days when I could blow bubbles at the balcony, watch smurf teletubbies and bunny in the evening and hug my soft toys to sleep. Now, I rush from one lesson to another like a zombie, sometimes missing lunch, rack my brains on how to do the assgmts, worry about the tests and all. And I'm so used to sleeping at 1am+. It's rush-hour 24/7. We hardly feel the days and months pass until we flip our calenders and diaries.

City life is NOT appealing. I don't need to write an entire GP essay to know that.

Now I'm sleepy. After talking all that about city life. Talk about irony. Okay time to escape this world =)

Btw, I really enjoy TD31! Nice air-con classroom. The thought of moving back to a smaller TC26 makes me go ughhhh.

And I dread waiting for buses after school. Mega dislike. 154s come at such long intervals!! Hate smelly buses as well. But I do like the new double-deck kind. Seem to have more room for my legs now. No need cram my knees the whole journey yay.

Haven't talked about snt chalet yet! It was super fun with the seniors. Even the much older ones came haha shall try to upload the videos soon.

Lunched with the other profs and a new student the past 2 days. First time was scary haha. But it was fun! No good being the youngest there cos we have to eat more fruits than the rest haha!

I'm so sadd!!! 金牌魔术团 has ended!!

For 13 weeks, on every tuesday, the thought of being able to watch made me =D=D

And tonight was the finals!! :(

Ok but i'm so happy OOOOH SA-OOOOH SA won. HAHAHA ok his real name is 郭汛杰 but he's so adorable!! He's got a style on stage. I used to think he was crazy and and that it was to cover up his not-so-good skills. But he's actually super awesome with magic skills!! And still as crazy/ funny.

Close behind him was 刘世杰 another awesome pro one. Haha he's also super cool.

And the last part where they sang the song was so sad :(:( But could feel the bond between all of them!

Ok this is my first post of 2011.

Since the start of the new year...

Lots of funny moments like the cute girl and the sneezy boy. I should do sth about laughter-control. Always have the urge to LOL when I think of funny stuff (esp when I'm alone on the bus or train).

Went to Suntec's Astons, did retarded things at Toys R us, then chilled out with lepak ppl at dunkin donut on sunday, playing addition and indian poker =D

And then 2 days before that (new year's eve), we had our last meal of 2010 at sofra (some turkish rst at shaw centre). Me and walter ordered the cheapest and got the biggest portion! Hehheh! Played addition at starbucks and then went home. This time, I had company on the long ride back home!

Woohoo so many updates (but no time to post!)

Let's see... Saturday! Exco outing with ms lim to sentosa =D haha visited rws, played the cannot-exceed-99 card game, played very-failed volleyball, capts ball, discussed how to spend $xxxx (hahaha super awesome). After that went for dinner at din tai fung (ahaha xiao long bao!!) and some of us went to see christmas lightings at orchard :D

Sunday... Usual lync and after that went for christmas dinner at roland restaurant thanks to tsao and his mum :D

Wow I've been hit by a sudden random-ness these few days so I just blog random stuff =D

First, I want to complain!!! The workload's piling *pulls hair fustratedly* There's NRP + SSEF, CCA stuff (Outing this saturday to sentosa, CIP, normal activities etc) and normal school homework. How to have merry christmas like this :'(

That day I went salon and the guy cutting my hair asked me, "你是不是晒很多太阳?" Bleh! I bet he inferred that from my awful patches of peeling skin. Anws, he said I should use more oil thing since my hair will be drier than normal. Ok i shall go buy cooking oil from ntuc. Haha nah we've got that hair oil thing at home (which smells pretty good) but it's so expensive i dont feel like using it! :S

Last night mr goh came by to pass me a volleyball and 2 groundsheets while i was catching the must-watch 金牌魔术团 haha!

Today kim and i watched Rapunzel at cathay. Walt Disney movies are (Y). Had lunch at ps then i went to meet mummy. Shopped around orchard + vivo the whole day (pity my feet) but i got some stuff from the shopping (yay!!) at very good prices :D

YLTC was quite tiring... all that trekking and morning calls. And the most epic - carrying dylan for like what 4km+ on a stretcher at 4am in the morning then running to find our flag.

It was damn fun too! Waterfall, getting bitten by a leech, climbing tree and wall, jetty jump, mud fight, walking alone on the roads of m'sia at night, playing samurai and stuff, staying on the resort (which is on the sea)...

Makes me wanna take part again next year (if only i could)!

It was truly a test of patience and teamwork. I thank God we managed to pull through it albeit all that complains, whining and gossiping (I admit).

And now it's a joy to scroll through WR and laugh at my PI.

PW has made J1 life more 'interesting' I must say. Haha I don't regret being in NJ065! :D

Whoo! Haven't seen the pics taken from last week's Family Day at Sentosa. Had an awesome time =D Will upload some pics next post.

Went for ah-wei gor gor's wedding yesterday. Haha so happy for him and his newly wed wife (who is very pleasant) :D Anws, gotta sit at the vip table with the bride and groom and groom's family (basically my aunt, uncle etc). So fun =D Haha ok cheap thrill.

Gonna be ah-chuang gor gor's wedding next year! Wow my paternal cousins are marrying consecutively every year. After ah-chuang's one next year there should be a long break. Cos the next will be cyn (who isn't exactly at the right age for marriage yet) and then me! Long way to go hahahaha it's good to feel young amongst these cousins =P

Spiders - Don't kill them

Just trapped a terrifying, relatively huge and un-indentified insect. Waiting for my dad to come home and give the verdict of whether it lives or dies. In the meantime, even my grandma who catches cockroaches with her bare hands is intrigued by this creature.

Eeeeeeks. Ok I'll try not to sound like a bimbo. But I really do hate insects. Any kind. Big or small. Sting or bite. Black or brown. All I cannot stand.

It's great achievement that I managed to trap that freaky thing in a transparent plastic container (which gives me both a good view of the anatomy of that insect - black and yellow with head, thorax and abdomen, 6 legs and a pair of feelers, as well as a sense of security - I've taken extra precaution to weigh the container down with books).

I'm sorry for being so environmentally un-friendly. Actually, I'm re-using the container for a good purpose!

Anw even with all that, I'm still dealing a rising fear that everytime I return to the kitchen, the container will be there but the insect will be gone. Haha seriously I can't believe how I survived those field camps last time.

Anws! My grandma is cool. She used to catch cockroaches with her bare hands when she lived in kampong last time. Lizzards never bothered her and bees she flicked away with her newspaper. Not bad right. She just told me a story bout how she once smacked a spider with a newspaper.

To her horror, hundreds of small white baby spiders crawled out of the body of that spider she smacked. She felt so bad... from then on she never ever killed a spider again.

This week has been so hectic!! ><

Saturday + Sunday night was WR nightmare. Seriously, no more last minute work from now on. The stupid textboxes make footnoting so hard! (Argh i shan't elaborate) and and sunday night was most epic.

Kq supposed to print 2 sets of WR, his paper stuck in his printer while printing the 2nd set. To cut long story short, he went out at 1230am in the morning to take taxi to his friend's house to print. Omg i had so many panic attacks in one night. Plus the lack of sleep over that few days... The feeling of holding the finished product in our hands is just... sweet.

OP dry run II was bad to us. But mr bek seems to think otherwise. He gave us grades higher than what i expected :D

Yst met up with astro exco to discuss sparks. Haha me, jiahui, weixian, siok and weiyi made so much noise at raintree afterwards (oops i'm so sorry).

Online discussion was a complete, epic fail as well. Stuff on the agenda included sparks, cca orientation, exco outing etc. We ended up talking about visiting changi village at night and blowing up ppl's booth -.- Haha so much for a 'meeting'! XP

And today!!! Promo results!! Glad that the ppl I know are all promoting (: Good job ppl, especially all who improved! Omg this afternoon me and zhihao damn epic. Kq was worse. Haha!! Like what zh said, "it's seriously not worth it". I agree.

Talked to Mr Bek bout PW after that. Everything was okay today... until afternoon.

Went NTU. Bleagh. Unhappy incident there. I was really angry. But I'll learn to transcend above all these 'trivialities'. After all, I am in no position to do/say anything more than I should.

And now, melvin just dropped a bombshell on our 6months worth of hardwork and time and effort and precious sleep. I told him just now "hahaha i dk whether to thank you or curse you". Ok I totally take back the part about cursing (was just kidding). Actually, he deserves the thanks.

Bleh it's so hazy now. PSI 78 according to NEA website. Tsk tsk. Everything is greyyy.

Ooh today's math lesson was very cool! Learnt about international bar codes. Bong described the bar codes as "fringe seperation". LOL! It's quite complicated (and tiring to count the strips) but cool to know :D They make use of binary (1 for black, 0 for white) and there's like what manufacturing code and even a check number.

We should have more of such lessons :D

On a random note, Speak to Peak is a very good workshop for oral presentation. Very useful tips (Y).

Everyone is playing reversi (why not minesweeper?!) haha nvm i shall learn reversi this hols. Flip flip flip... evelyn's a pro i think. Must 拜她为师。

Yay I love the fact that I can stay up and watch saturday night movies now without feeling guilty XD Watched 夜宴 last night. I always take ages to comprehend the plot.

1. The emperors/princes, the empress/palace maids all look the same to me. By the time each scene is over, I'm still wondering who the person in the previous scene was.

2. Everyone is clad in the same or look-alike armour and helmet. How are we supposed to differentiate them?

3. They use those historical, chim chinese idioms for which their meanings I simply can't decipher

Ok basically, it's just a waste of money for me to watch this kinda movies in the theatres ><>

I really like the way they dance especially with the masks in 夜宴. This show has several impressive scenes. I particularly like scene of the massacre of the dance troupe. The gore of blood on the white cloths and masks juxtaposed to the the graceful yet impactful move of each dancer before he falls to the ground... nice technique (: And also the way Wu Luan conveyed how his father (the late Emperor) was murdered through the performance.

Went to Binghan's HUGE house afterwards. 3 storeys + 1 wine cellar at 14degcel. What more can you ask for. He has 2 rooms to himself, each room has 2 beds, each bed has 2 pillows... hahaha rich kiddd. Dinner was awesommeeeee! :D:D

Went to school at usual timing (even though NO LESSONS) for prize presentation. Too bad wasn't the one receiving the prizes hahaha nvm had fun announcing anws :D Then met pw groupies to do pw, obviously lol. Our group is seriously an amalgamation of a wide array of characters (i.e. frequency) hahaha.

Ooh had a pleasant surprise when 14s came to sing bday song =D And evelyn, shiya, jos and pranj shared a choker. 2 stars. Pretty pretty!! Haha how do ppl know I like stars :O Went kap for lunch with jos, melv and kq. Melv is my new-found sister. And we found out kq's fetish for ____ LOL.

Been a long time since I last posted!

Exam's over yay. I mean, who cares about chinese after all that days (and nights) of cramming stackful of notes into that limited brain space we have.

Seriously, assuming no knowledge loss to our surroundings, the weight gained in our brains shoud be equivalent to the weight of our notes. That would make us an average of 3kg heavier after each exam.

Ok whatever. I've always made mental notes to myself. Today in the exam hall I added one to the list - if I ever work in NJ, I'll choose to be part of the physics dept. I mean, just look at the way they function and compare-. If I went back crescent, I would choose SS dept.

I don't think I'll have to retain (phew). But there's a high chance of needing to drop subjects (argh). Thanks to chemistry. Who cares about the half-life of a reactant seriously. I only have ONE life and I don't intend to spend that one life calculating the half-lives of reactants. Okay shall not think about that now.

Gah, I'm happy to stay at 16. 17 sounds old\(no offence to those who are >/= 17). K nvm I'm one step nearer to joining those ah peks watch R21 movies at their void decks.

This year has really zoomed past just like that. Didn't CNY just end a while ago? And Christmas's coming again! (Hoping i can spend Christmas somewhere in a foreign land). It amazes me how everywhere, no matter where you go, you'll see nice Christmas decorations and hear carols being played in departmental stores during Christmas period. Even if they don't speak English in the country. How nice.

Caught Inception 2 days ago. It's a must-watch! Would be good if i could watch it again and catch the parts i didn't really get. But other than that, the concept of a dream within a dream is interesting.

Is there any other word to describe these 3 days?? Tiring, time-consuming but the satisfaction and fun factor beats everything.

11/12 Aug - Engineering Day
Pre-engin day: Countless of re-sends of the posters to mr johll. Thankfully the printing went well :D

Engin day(s): Help out at lib + get freebies + clear the yummy food haha thankfully several ppl came to help so didn't have to carry the easels to and fro so many times.

13 Aug - Sigma Science Day
Enjoyed myself thoroughly today. All the weeks of planning, co-ordinating, late night messaging, meetings, reportings, discussing, taping, sending... Thank God everything went well!! How i wished i was one of those kids playing today. LOL chunwai wanted to try the parachute egg but didn't in the end. Balloon, medal electroplating, electrolytes... so fun!!! And i met my pri 6 form teacher lol!Haha hoping the teachers can organise this again next year! Kudos to everyone! Can finally take a breather! (except for me jorina yenler and mr goh!)

Haha stayed at IS lab until 9pm just now to do asxc. zomgosh its awesome fun! :D:D Haha Mr Goh ordered pizza for our dinner and ran errands for us the ENTIRE night. From staff room to the other IS lab to sigma lab to art room. From food to cups to biscuits to cardboards to tapes to easel to glue to styrofoam to ruler... Really thankful for all the help. Haha omgosh nj is scary at night. Me jo and him took the lift, when the door open it was pitch black. Zzz hahaha had to carry easels back to IS lab in darkness.

And its damn funny working with jorina & yenler. Always work and laugh until cry. First it was the whole joke thing at yl's house. Then this morning while walking out of the staffroom...
Jorina: "Can we use those boards outside the staffroom?"
Mr goh: "What boards are you talking about?" *pause* "Oh you mean the board with our pictures?"
Me & Yenler: *LOL*
Hahahaha he thought we wanted to kope the boards behind the glass panel with all the teachers' photos on it.

Then at IS Lab we were suaning jorina for taking pictures and not doing any work HAHA. And arguing who's better at cutting styrofoam. Oh and most epic. Jorina pronouced 'epic' as eee-pic. HAHAHHAHA!! Me and yenler are the pros! We made matching rings out of the metal pipes ^^ and we plan to blow balloons after asxc LOL. Yes we should take more pics!! A really rare/memorable experience!

Anw, left the lab on the dot at 9 before the alarm sounded. Heh then mr goh fetched us home from bt timah to bishan to jurong and back to bt timah. All the more we must put in our efforts! 4 days to go!!

Talked about quite some stuff on the way back. Some stuff he said really made me think and reflect.

The difference is that we enjoy doing what we do! (:

KSA 2010 =D

This week has been an awesome week!!

First of all, the KSA students from Korea came!! I made new friends - Uiryeol and Kang Tae Ho since they were attached to Evelyn =D

Haha hmm i rmb the first lesson they sat thru with us was econs on monday. At the end of the lesson, the 2 of them had drawn fishes on the entire nj fullscap paper LOL! Didn't really get to know them much at that time...

But on tuesday, uiryeol and tae ho joined me and jos in chinese class.
Guo Laoshi: "I'm sorry today we have to go through the exam papers... so we won't be having lesson."
Korean student: "No problem!!"

Haha me and jos were amazed at their language skills. First, besides korean, they study third lang. They know english and little bit of chinese too! So me and jos wrote our chinese name on paper and asked them to help us write our names in korean. Lol their teacher, Dr. Chan (if i didn't get it wrongly), helped us translate. Tae Ho knew the word 王 in jos's name! Zomgosh my korean name sounds sth like "cai im miem". Which is rather accurate! Oh and under my name 蜜勉, Dr. Chan wrote "honey" and "diligent". HAHA SO PRO! :D

Brought them to canteen for chicken rice after that. Got to know them better. Then there was physics/chem lecture... i learnt to write phys/chem in korean as well. Lol uiryeol was sleeping very deeply during lecture so taeho and another guy kept taking unglam pics of him =P

On wednesday, they chose to join us for chinese lesson again! Anw, we went kinda late and talked to them during lesson XP Haha saw their younger pics and learnt more about korea's education. For instance, they have astronomy as a subject and they can use any colored pens be it schoolwork or corrections. Went for econs lecture after that. Haha they fell asleep again. I'm not surprised... even we who understand english are so prone to closing our eyes in that LT =P Took class photo with them after that.

Met uiryeol and tae ho again at 2 for food trail! Haha got to know Seong Ho and Dr. Chan better too, since they were in my group:D Haha it was damn tiring walking about from suntec to marina to suntec to citylink to rc to helix bridge. And hot for them too! Kaimin and lynette were tgt in the same group as well. LOL the first two clues were solved by this korean guy!!! (Shame on us) HAHA =D Anw, brought them to eat bread talk 10 for $10 on the way. Had so much fun! =)

Haha they had some sentosa outing and dinner + shopping at vivo on thurs so didn't meet. Friday... Evelyn brought them to crossroads to join shiya, jos, pranj and me. Uiryeol looked burnt from the sun! Lol we were talking at the buf-falo (buffalo/buff fellow) and IMBAlance joke. Anw, gave up studying for econs test. Played the i-have-never game with them instead. Haha everyone was sabo-ing everyone. Talked until time for chem tutorial. Uiryeol and Tae Ho joined us at chem lab for a while before leaving for airport.

The school should organise more of such exchange progs. Had so much fun (and it was educational too!) with the Korean students. Anws, as i'm typing this, they're on their way back to Korea already. Hope they had fun in Sgp :D

Erasing the ink

Well i remember this day, not only because it was SNT Handover Session. There's more to rmb. Maybe 6/6/10 would be better. K whatever.
Anw, handover was good. The seniors really did an awesome job in their term and we're gonna strive to do our best =D

Wednesday 7/7/10
Got back physics MCQ and got B (thankfully).
Stayed back after school for 4 hours for a relationship-building workshop. The trainer was entertaining(:
Took a long bus ride home afterwards, thinking and thinking.

Thursday 8/7/10
Wore some big, bright orange ribbon for racial harmony. Took it off before the day end cos its too unbearable. (And we're supposed to wear it until racial harmony day?!)
Got back the rest of physics paper and got E -.-
Took height and weight for PE... my score for physics = my weight. Lol!
Left school after Chinese w/o my folder. Went back to take, only to find it missing... Thank God shiya took it home for me =D

Had a good chillout movie + chips time with cyn. Sorry it was interrupted by the group discussions... I really had a good time though!

Going for lync in a while. Probably staying up to watch Fifa World Cup Finals Spain vs Netherlands =)

If only somethings in life were written in pencil and could be erased easily. Sometimes, we're too quick to use permanaent markers. Only later, we regret. And we spend much time and effort trying to erase the ink. But it's too late. It leaves tiny stains. It can't be completely removed.

Maybe that's what happened.
