Das Experiment (Black Box)

There's this play going on in Sgp called Das Experiment: Black Box. The synopsis sounded interesting so i decided to search it up and i want to watch it!! but i can't. cos im below 16:/

The whole experiment reflects human psychology, in the view of 'prisoners' and 'guards'. And from the reality of an experiment, it becomes another reality for the volunteers who get so into their characters... its terrifying. The 'prisoners' live in solitary confinement, in a world where time is distorted, where loyalty becomes distrust and the whole human psychology goes wrong. And for the 'guards', its really the good vs the evil. This experiment mirrors the power of authority, of control when laid in Man's hands.

For a clearer understanding of how this experiment started, the process, the deeper analysis etc, visit http://www.prisonexp.org/ . very interesting... esp the observations on how the prisoners/guards' actions, behaviour change as they take on the role in the stimulated prison. i like the last part (found in the conclusion), on how the prisoners are relieved to be freed, while the guards are not particularly happy that the experiment ended earlier than planned (due to the drastic effects it did on the volunteers' mental health). And also the part on how the guards were always on time for their shifts, never asked for extra overtime pay... makes you wonder(:
