STC 08(:

"itchy itchy scratchy scratchy; up and down my backy wacky..." haha. thats the only thing i can think about now cos my arm is infested with bites!!:/ idk what bites. just big red lumps that make you itch so badly... and where did i get these bites? Pulau Ubin! when? Fri to Sun! Why? There for STC (survival training camp)! with who? fellow area 14 sec 3/4s, as well as peihua sec:D

ok so just a brief intro on STC... i was in TRANSFORMERS - me, kana, zakk, jx, edlyn, cas, sya, sowmiya, yq, fidi, joyce, fennie, andy, josh, simon, jingxian, allan, eugene, farid (um i hope i didnt miss out anyone). yep. so many ppl:) and they were all super nice!! oh yes. and the 2 sirs that took us- junhao and lianan sir!

DAY 1
- changi jetty to pulau ubin
- treasure hunt (secret garden, opera stage, hsbc volunteer centre!)
- campsite!!:D:D
- intro (my name is vivien, i love playing bball.. haha!!)
- trusty cups and ... i cant rmb what (lol i have a terrible sense of direction)
- intro to CIs (junhao and lianan sir!!)
- tentpitching (w jx, zakk, cas, kana, edlyn)
- washup
- dinner (the flies are annoying. seriously.)
- campfire preparation (omg cf commitee is super funny)
- supper and welfare time (supper was sweet!)
- mass/group debrief
- sleep:)
there was no firedrill!

DAY 2
- woke up at 6 when it started to rain
- help cover the other campers bags with groundsheets and ended up getting drenched (brr... i rmb shivering badly while sitting in the foyer later on)
- pt in the canteen
- breakfast
- lesson on 8basic knots/ 3 advanced knots
- jetty jump!!:DD
haha. poor andy... this lizard dropped on him while we were putting on lifevests. jetty jump shouldnt be called jetty jump, but jetty step off or sth. haha cos you're not supposed to jump! anws, it was my 2nd time. and the feeling of freefalling is just awesome. indescribable.

omgosh my group rocks. haha jx and i adopted the idea of cgs team 2's basha! and i nearly died of suffocation in that miniature tent meant more for 2 ppl at max... though there were 5 of us in there at that time. Thank God we were using ponchos and there were holes here and there...
- fire lighting
ok. i cant start a fire for nuts. me, yq, zakk and fidi. we used more than 8 matches. to no avail. haha it was only in the last few mins did we manage to start the fire - with the help of our grp's sirs. haha but it was fun all the same!!
- challenge (the game of tying 8+3 basic knots and writing the uses. heehee quite fun)
- tunnel (went with jx the leader, kana, zakk, yq, fidi) - super fun!!! but gross. and it was damn hard climbing up the slope while crawling with balls under us. haha but we managed!:D and came out as a group(:
- dinner
- campfire:D
campfire was a blast, even though it was only the cgs ppl who were zi-highing. haha!! and transformers did a very good job i think(: "...burn ah burn ah make you chaoda! ohhhhhhhhhhh.... TRANSFORMERS!!"
- group debrief (hearing life stories of cis and choosing our group's best camper - andy!!)
- supper and welfare (the green bean soup was superb)
- sleep
there was no firedrill! and sentry duty througout the whole camp!:)

DAY 3
- wake up
- pt (jumping jacks in a circle... and running around the campsite. not too bad. really.)
- breakfast
- unpitching tents
- area clean up (omgg. it was super tiring. from getting 'showers of blessing' to being roasted in the sun... not fun at all. but at least everyone contributed in getting things right)
- finale (station games!! haha transformers was 'flying' from station to station. and we got 2nd!! great job ppl!)
- mass cheering
- best sec 3 camper - JX!!:D:D woohhhh!!! haha!
- leaving campsite in vans
- pulau ubin to changi jetty to school to home!

so that was stc 08. and it was... enjoyable:) i miss transformers the most://
