Bukit Timah? Sigh.

Bukit Timah seriously has something against me... 6 years in rgps definitely had not left me with incidents i would like to remember (except for nicer things that happend in school). Neither has the 6 years helped me change my liking for that place.

I remember myself saying something like "I wouldn't stay here even if i was paid to do it". The place freaks me out... and i will still say the same thing today. Everywhere i walk (mind you, that place is really inaccessible except by bus), i see roads with zooming sports cars and private housings. Oh yes, and not to forget, the numerous overhead bridges that link schools across the road. I've no problem with that just that it gives me the impression that it is very desolated (aside from the high property values of that area). Gosh, i'm at a lost for words when the images of the shopping centres pop up in my mind. They simply whip the breath out of me, i'm left with nothing to say.

4 years in redhill is so much better. Hardly a shopping centre, just a mini petrol kiosk that earns its profits from students like us and a church which i've never seen opened in the 4 years. Maybe i'm more of a "bukit merah kid" rather than "bukit timah kid".

And for the last week or so, i've been visiting nj for appeal applications and stuff. Twice i stepped into the GO and twice i tripped over the (stupid) step at it's entrance :(

But i must say, 2 years will pass really fast... less than that actually. Its already past mid january. By november next year, i'll be a free bird again. Looking back, i can't belive myself. How i managed to survive 6 years in bukit timah. 4 years in redhill/tanglin seemed more tolerable.

So whether it's nj, tj, ac or anywhere else, i'm quite certain i'm gonna survive it somehow. Even if that means not being able to reach school on time after catching the FIRST bus every morning.

God will make it possible (:
