Just listened to the Nation's March (a video for NDP 2012). I know it's a "march" but need they be so serious, seriously? I mean, afterall its a pre-NDP video. I thought they might go for something of a lighter mood. The singers' faces were so serious, as if they were still doing drills. They almost looked unhappy to be involved in it haha!

I need to detoxxx. Where are all my basketball kakis haha sighhhh i need the drive to pump the ball and go on my own already. Ok i should consider running since it's a more individual kinda sport (and i don't have to wait for ppl to be free + find a nice, empty court that is reasonably accessible for all the players), but i really CANNOT stand running. I can hardly jog. I'm so glad napfa is over.
I'm usually not so concerned about exercising (i know that's not good hehe) but my input last week during family camp (which was held in msia) was way more than usual. Hence the guilt i'm feeling now grr. We had international buffet for 8 meals straight. 8 meals leh! And the spread was really good so i couldn't resist but try almost everything (not even mentioning the spamming of desserts haha). I LOVED THE DESSERTS. The strawberry cake, brownie, apple crumble, fondue, cheese cake.... gahhhhh. Ok enough about food. Camp speaker was revd aow and he was pretty good. Uncle lunheng did an awesome job of translation for ALL the sessions (must have been very tiring!). Respect.
Laying foundations for the next generation. I was quite puzzled at the theme but i think i started to understand it better during the camp. I was one of the oldest in my group, jacinth, so it was an experience 'chaperoning' the kids haha. Our leader greg was quite strict (not surprising since he's a sch teacher) but he's very responsible. Tim, zeb and me (we're the oldest in our group) came down earlier for qt on the third day so greg discussed with us about the previous sessions. And the stuff he say are very thought-provoking. Food for thought. I'm not sure about the other two but it did make me think and see things in a different perspective, and i'm glad for that.
The youths from the eng congre are remarkably matured, i would say. Not saying they are dull and serious. They are actually very fun and friendly ppl! It's hard to put this in words but i feel that they have a sense of spiritual maturity - understanding the seriousness of coming before God and of God Himself. I'm not holy or anything but it touches me to see how a church can instill in its young (not limiting to age) ppl such values and i believe it's vital to the growth of a church as a whole, as well as our personal walk with God. Laying foundations for the next generation indeed :)
Was glad lois, cyn, jeremy and me joined the youths for the midnight gathering on the third night. Got to know many new ppl (i still rmb their names so proud of myself HAHA). We played polar bear, mrt game, bigfish smallfish etc (the forfeit was super funny hahaha all thanks to shaun who thought of it) but he got sabo-ed in the end heheh!
